Want to hear something funny? Musician Jonathan Coulton. To listen to some song clips, go here and listen to Ikea, or W's Duty, or pretty much anything else. It's not often I start chuckling at lyrics.
Notice this is 2 blog entries in a week. I've got time on my hands, thanks to giving short-shrift to everything else, sitting on a pile of unread mail, email and unreturned phone calls, bagging races, and not even riding today.
It wasn't meant to be that way, but it was raining this morning. So I made dad some fathers day banana ice cream, Alton Brown taught me how. Then started unpacking my duffel bag, now that I've been here a week.
Shifting gears, this afternoon I went and rode the motorcycles. Within a mile I accidentally broke the first rule of the test ride, no wheelies! What a hoot. Those things have some pep! The Super Enduro would loft the front wheel easily in the first 2 gears, which was something new to me. Maybe the test drive was a mistake...like trying meth just once. I spent the afternoon lapping the Pease Tradeport on various KTM's--that's the brand--and planning on reverse mortgaging my jeep to buy one. I could somehow rig up a bike rack...
NBA finals are on right now, and I should tune in, see how the Celtics do, but I can't get myself to care much about basketball. I bet those players care about that much about my cycling. So I'm watching SNL.
Tomorrow's my first ever tooth filling. First ever, at 28! Not so happy about my besmirched dental record. My dentist tells me to quit coffee, breathing, and sugary drinks. Remind me, as a cyclist, are those the 3 essentials? That's what I thought.
